Second Life E - SS Galaxy Virtual Cruise Ship
This is the SS Galaxy virtual Cruise ship in Second Life that spans 3 sims! I have visited the ship on numerous occasions to look around and this past Christmas decided to film it and went back to add to the clips I already had to complete this film. There's so much I missed so I think I'll have to check it out every now and then.
Its a great full size scale model. The creator of the SS Galaxy is Bill Stirling. It really is something to see. It's one of those good examples of what Second life can be or can put on display. It's a great real life promotional marketing tool.
Information from their site states...
SS Galaxy, the only full size, full scaled, and full featured cruise ship in Second Life.
Anchored in the Sagittarian Sea, the SS Galaxy spans 3 sims with more than 8 decks of fun and entertainment.
Virtually the SS Galaxy...
Proudly carrying on the tradition of luxury , glorious and sophisticated floating palaces of the world, the SS Galaxy offers an array of amenities and activities on board, and a variety of staterooms (furnished & ready to use!) & suites to chose from, shopping, dining, and dancing. Come cruise the Galaxy! (rooms with prim limits of 100 or less = furnished)

Cruise Ship pray tell where does it cruise from and where does it cruise too? Or is it just another floating hotel & apt?

Well JPatrick Lets imagine now what is possible in a virtual world. This massive virtual ship spans over three sims. Your a man who has been a member of SL for how long now?
I think you know it doesn't move. But we can imagine it does. From what i know they pretend they have port of calls. They stage events that they may teleport people to locations they imagine they may be.
for some who may have never traveled on a Cruise ship or who will never be able to. I think it is a clever and a great build in SL. It's a good example of what some have accomplished there.
It's been there for some time. Wait until you see the virtual Mall!
